Fresh To Morrow

Fresh To Morrow is a true farm-to-table restaurant owned by Ryan Doan, his wife, Megan Pirman, and their business partner, Brad Wolf. Before planting their roots in Morrow, OH, Doan and Pirman ran an urban farm, Urban Greens, in Cincinnati, where Doan learned the ins and outs of farming. “I never made too much, but man, I learned just about every lesson you could learn in life,” Doan says.

A few years ago, the couple found their dream home in Morrow, so they sold Urban Greens back to the City of Cincinnati and moved north. Doan took a year to get the farm started before they got the opportunity to set up a little shop at the Morrow Arts Center where they could sell vegetables and their homemade chili. After a year there, the couple moved into a brick-and-mortar location across the street and opened Fresh To Morrow. After a year in business, the owner of the building came to Doan with an opportunity to buy the building before she put it up for sale. And that’s when Wolf came into the story. As luck would have it, he started as a customer at the café and eventually became a partner in the business.

Today, the trio operates the farm and café under the Fresh To Morrow umbrella. Everything the farm produces gets consumed by the café. “Every single pound,” Doan says. Aside from offering locally sourced and affordable dishes to the community, Doan is proud to teach his employees how to prepare food they’ve grown. “It’s a beautiful thing teaching people how to live off the land and make delicious food that comes straight out of the ground,” Doan says.
