Thanksgiving 2020

Thanksgiving will be a little different for most of us this year. If you’re having trouble planning for less or don’t feel like cooking this year, we’ve gathered a few ideas from Edible Ohio Valley friends to shake up the festivities or discover a new tradition.

Small Thanksgivings

Avril-Bleh Order smaller turkeys or a 1/2 turkey raised by Bowman Landes farms near Dayton. The butchers also recommend a good pork loin for if you don’t want to deal with the whole bird this year.. Call to order 513.241.2433

Dorothy Lane Markets are taking pre-orders online for ready-to-eat Thanksgiving meals. Order a la carte fully-cooked everything and pickup the week of Thanksgiving. Pre-order pies, rolls, fresh turkeys, or pre-cooked everything directly from their website. Last Day to Order for Thanksgiving is Sunday, November 22 by 6pm.

ETC Produce and Provisions has complete “take and bake” dinners delivered to your door. Fresh turkeys from TS Farms in small, medium, or large.

Lehr’s Prime Market is selling turkeys and all of the traditional Thanksgiving sides. Orders are being accepted through November 19th with pickup starting on November 23rd. Call 513-831-3411

Findlay Market will be open regular hours Wed 11/25. You can find everything here for a large or small Thanksgiving.

Red Feather Larder Is taking preorders Thanksgiving dinners in all sizes and shapes for 1-6 people. Choose from turkey, salmon, pork, or beef. For pickup 11/24 and 11/25 at Red Feather Larder on Erie.

The Delish Dish has a full Thanksgiving To-Go Menu including mini-desserts, breakfast options, dinner sides, and dinner-entrees. All dishes are for 4-people, but customers can request a quote for larger parties. Pickup and delivery available until 1 PM on Wednesday 11/25. The Golden Lamb is offering take-and-bake dinners that serve between 4-6 adults. Call 513.932.5065 to place order. Prepared for pickup from 1-7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, or Wednesday, November 25.

Out of Thyme Kitchen Studio has added online preordering for Thanksgiving packages this year to be picked up 11/25 in Montgomery. From $25-$200+ all meals are customizable to fit small celebrations. Click here and holiday is handled!

Holiday Sweet Treats

Fork & Pie Bakery is taking preorders for holiday pies, cookies, breads, quiches, & dinner rolls. Pickup Times: Friday 11/20 8a-6p, Saturday 11/21 8a-2p, Tuesday 11/24 10a-4p and Wednesday 11/25 8a-7p. Order online.

Last Farmers Markets Before Thanksgiving

Saturday 11/20

  • Deerfield Farmers Market (Mason) is on their winter schedule. Vendors will be stocked for Thanksgiving on Saturday Nov 20 from 10am-11am for the holiday. Here’s a list of vendors you’ll find there.

  • Findlay Market Farmers Shed open from 8am

  • Second Street Market The market is closed inside but outside will be a pick-up location for vendors on Saturdays. Special pickup day Wednesday, 11/25 (Stock Up Wednesday). Pre-order with vendors online.

Sunday 11/21

  • Findlay Market Farmers Shed open from 8am

  • Hyde Park Winter Market has moved to MadTree Brewing in Oakley. Stock up from 10:00am to 1:30pm. Updates on social media.

  • Northside Farmers Market will host a regular market Wednesday 11/25 from 4pm-6pm.

  • Second Street Market Special pickup day Wednesday, 11/25 (Stock Up Wednesday). Pre-order with vendors online.

  • Fort Thomas Farmers Market, Mess Hall in Tower Park, Fort Thomas KY
    Wednesdays 3:00pm-7:00pm Indoor market will run through December. Find several vegetable farms, eggs (chicken and duck) frozen local meats, bread, wine, pre-made baked goods, homemade pasta, fair-trade coffee and bone broth. Find updates on social media.
