Larder: Hickory King Collective Corn Chips

May’s Lick, Kentucky

Hickory King Collective Corn Chips are made in May’s Lick, KY, for Sunflower Sundries, a family business that sells locally and through an Etsy.com shop. Hickory Collective makes their chips from heirloom white Hickory King corn grown without chemicals or GMOs. The old-fashioned variety has more sugar and protein than most other corn. These chips have such a natural and delicious flavor. At $10 for a 2-pound bag of Hickory King cornmeal, the chips are pricier than conventional snack-food brands, but totally worth the upcharge. Hickory Collective Corn chips taste so good that you don’t even need salsa.
